Josh Brown is a native of St. Louis, MO.  He began his musical journey at the St. Luke Memorial MBC where his grandfather, Rev. Dr. Jimmy L. Brown is the pastor.  At an early age, Josh showed great interest and love for music.  He began playing the drums at age three.  From drums to keyboard and organ, Josh began to flourish as a musician. While on his musical journey throughout middle and high school, Josh attended the National Baptist Congress of Christian Education, playing and singing as part of the youth rally, Irock departments, and more.

 

In 2009, Josh continued his education at Stillman College and made his debut on the Tuscaloosa music scene, playing for groups, like Men Of Prayze and The Anointed Brown Sisters, Cornerstone FGBC, and Washington Temple COGIC.

In 2013,  he moved to Jackson, TN where he served for two years as the Music Director at the Zion Church. After that opportunity, Joshua desired to finish his music degree at Stillman College which lead him back to Tuscaloosa, AL. 

 

In 2017, he launched Brownstone Music, LLC., a music production company where he has proven his God-Given ability to produce, write and arrange music. His skill set includes producing, songwriting, arranging;  piano/keys, drums, organ; recording, mixing, editing, mixing; live performance.  He has produced several artists, Kyndra Stoudimire, Lisa Knowles-Smith, Jeremy Hill & Remnant, HarRell Williams, Anthony Moore, Kendra Carr- Pineda, and so many others.  He has shared the stage with artists and preachers including Alvin Garrett, Vashawn Mitchell, JJ Hairston, Pastor Hezekiah Walker, Bishop Paul Morton, and more.  Josh looks forward to many more opportunities to inspire the world through music.
